Electrify Your Ride

Passenger vehicles and trucks are responsible for 40% of West Marin’s greenhouse gas emissions. The path to addressing accelerating climate change impacts must include a rapid transition to electric vehicles (EVs), which is why Marin County hopes to increase the number of registered passenger EVs from currently 4% to 45% by 2030.

When you switch to driving an electric vehicle and plug into clean energy with MCE Deep Green, or your own solar, you can cut your carbon footprint by more than half!

Are you ready to switch to a cleaner ride?

Participants in our event learned how to make the switch, including EV purchase incentives, leasing, models on the market, ownership benefits and charging options. The program included welcome remarks by Supervisor Dennis Rodoni and presentations by our local partners:

Alex Porteshawver from Drawdown:Marin will address public charge stations in West Marin;
Annika Osborn from Drive Clean Bay Area (DCBA) will review new EV models, financial incentives, and how to charge at home and on the road.

Local EV owners shared their experiences driving electric and how they use public chargers to ‘fuel’ their ride.

Switching to an electric vehicle is an important action! We hope you consider making your next vehicle purchase an EV.
