Fall Seedling Giveaway | Saturday Sept 12th, 2026. 10 am to noon, Inverness

Growing your own food is about so much more than tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and summer squash.  We are fortunate in West Marin to be able to grow edibles twelve months of the year.  Early to mid-September is the perfect time to get your fall garden in. 

Don’t know what to plant in the fall?  Let us help you decide.  A team of WMCA volunteers is growing starts for our Fall Seedling Giveaway.  If all grows well, we’ll have broccoli, lettuce, peas, kohlrabi, bok choy, Napa cabbage, dino kale, cilantro, and chard – all free to West Marin gardeners.

Learn to Grow Your Own Herbal Teas | Tuesday, Sept 15th, 2026. 10 am to noon, Nicasio

A WMCA Workshop with Marnie Jackson

Join us and learn how to grow healthy, organic, herbal teas in your own garden. We will tour the Herbal Tea garden, learn about the healing properties of easy to grow herbs, and then taste different fresh and dried Herbal Tea Blends created by Marnie Jackson on Black Mountain Farm in Nicasio.

You’ll also have an opportunity to test and shop all the other bath and body products created with ingredients from these same gardens for Blackmountainorganics.shop.  Stay on after the workshop if you’d like for a further tour of Marnie’s sheep farm on the Nicasio side of beautiful Black Mountain Farm.

‍Your $20 fee (paid at the door) includes the tour, tasting, and your own herbal tea starter kit.
